The evening started out with a few of us enjoying dinner at the Rio Grande Cafe which legends has it is haunted. The Rio Grande is an old train station in which part of it has been converted into the Cafe.
I was partial to having dinner at this restaurant because I've heard stories about the Rio Grande Cafe and its Hauntings. The story I was most interested in was the one of an engaged couple. Legend has it that an engaged couple got into an argument. As the train was leaving the man threw the engagement ring onto the tracks. The woman went for the ring and was hit by the train. This woman has been sighted in the women's restroom. I wanted to see myself although I knew I probably wouldn't see anything. Sometimes its the eerie feeling that's worth the trip. So I totally made Sarah go in with me. If I was going to be haunted then I wasn't going to be haunted alone. Here is the bathroom we went into and Sarah and I with our scared faces.
After dinner we waiting for everyone to get there. Everyone had a pretty awesome scared face. What good sports they all are.
Okay so perhaps some people weren't that scared for the ghost tour. This spooky tour took us on a bus all around the Haunts of Salt Lake. One in particular was the Salt Lake City Cemetery. They even allowed us off the bus to walk around. Pretty sure that we weren't suppose to be trespassing though.
Overall it was a very fun evening filled with friends and some spooky stories. Thanks to my great friends that helped make this evening a lot of fun.
