For only having 2 days off work it really seemed to fly by. Its feels like I was basically running around the entire weekend. Although I did have a blast doing it! I got to spend some quality time with my sweet niece Ambree and have a day full of fun with my friend Sarah. Here is a summary of how my weekend went. :)
First was a sleep over with Ambree. I picked her up on Friday evening and brought her home. We played with family, watched The Mentalist together then went to bed.
The following morning we both woke up bright and early to start the day. We dropped of Nanny in Orem with my Grandpa. Then headed to Lehi while I got my hair done. Thankfully I was able to get my wonderful friend Angie to play with Ambree while I got my hair done.
A token self shot of me under the dryer....I know...I look ridiculous. When I went to go pick up Ambree after my hair appointment I saw a note on Angie's front door. My sweet Ambree was being ransomed for 2 beverages.
Sarah and I jumped back into the car to obtain 44oz of diet coke and 44oz of coke just as the letter had requested. I knew I couldn't put anything at risk. I had to get Ambree back. However in the fun of it all I decided to split of the 44oz into 3 cups. Two 16oz cups and One 12oz which equaled 44oz. He he he. I thought I was so clever.

After finally obtaining Ambree, Sarah and I decided to go to lunch with the Ransomers. After all they did give her back even though I had left strict instructions to make her leave her head bow on. The day was moving fast. It was soon time for me
to take Ambree home. We packed up her things and I took her back. I love my weekends with my niece and nephew. I always look forward to spending as much time as I can get with them.
Sarah and I were then suppose to get ready to head to the Kenny Chesney Concert that Sarah had won free tickets to. Although neither of us really seemed in the concert mood. So instead of throwing them to the side we gave them to someone we knew would love the concert 10 times more than ourselves. The tickets were very graciously accepted by my Aunt Lisa! The excitement she had was absolutely indescribable. She was a die hard Kenny fan. Knowing the tickets were going to someone who really loved them made it that much easier for us to give them up. Instead enjoyed a lovely dinner and ventured to the local movie theater where we saw Super 8.
Sarah has not actually stopped talking about this movie since she originally saw it a few weeks ago. I finally caved and told her that we would see it. I would disclose much information about the movie because the not knowing is what made it so good. The following day I ended up going to another movie with Brady. We saw Horrible Bosses. It was super funny! I was very impressed. Normally Brady and I make it to some action flick that he claims I picked. ha ha. Which of course if anyone knows me, knows that action flicks are not top on my list. Although this time he totally came through.
The weekend was packed full of fun, friends and family. I can't wait to find out what is in store for next weekend.
